I am so excited because it is launch day for my new lifestyle blog. I thought it would be a great day to start because today is also my birthday, but we don’t have to go into details about what year I was born or how old I am. Let’s just say that I was around to see the Beatles perform on their very first Ed Sullivan show. (Yes, I am that old!!)
I’m sure you are wondering how the blog was named, “The Enchanted Manor”. Well, this blog will be like my home and I wanted a name that reflected my different interests. During a normal day you can find me in several different rooms of the house. Maybe I’ll be in the living room decorating, or in my craft room working on a project, or in the dining room planning a great dinner party or at the computer in my office planning a fun family vacation. When you come to visit my blog you might find me in any room!
Please return often for ideas and inspiration because the blog will be about décor, craft, celebration and travel. Future posts will have tips and ideas for decorating the home, simple craft projects with easy instructions, ideas for celebrations like holidays and weddings and travel tips with vacation destination ideas.

I’m pretty excited about Barbara finally launching her site! When she came up with this I did some research. I found WordPress and all the materials say you can be up and blogging in 5 minutes. Right. You CAN be up in 5 minutes if you are a creatively challenged person like me. For someone as creative as Barbara it is a completely different story. First, she had to pick a theme. There are THOUSANDS of them. Fortunately that didn’t take too long, but then the real work began. She had a VERY specific way she wanted everything to look and feel and while WordPress has some customization available, it didn’t come close to her vision. Couple that with the fact that the web limits your capabilities and makes things fun.
She spent hours looking for cool fonts and colors, getting pictures and posts ready, getting ready with new craft projects (like she need any more reasons to do a craft project) and getting the site ready to go. Her organizational skills shone through here as well and right on schedule at 12:01 AM on November 17th, 2012 the first set of posts appeared!
